Game Unit: Homeward BoundThe goal of the game is to beat all of the alio-dragons to get back home to earth. My favorite part was drawing all of the backgrounds and characters. If I could have had more time to work on the project I would have added more effects, sounds and more levels to the game.
PhenakistoscopeA phenakistoscope was an early animation device that created an illusion of motion using the persistence of vision. A loop is an illustration to make the image look like it's moving. My favorite animation toy is the flip book because it actually looks like something is moving across the page. I found making a phenakistoskope easy because your drawing the same picture over and only changing one thing.
Color Theory ProjectThe color theory I used for my project was analogous. I feel that the color theory i used doesn't really match the picture because I'm smiling and the colors I used are darker colors. I selected a forest background because it matches the rest of the picture. I feel that I did use tints, tones and shades in the picture. The strongest element of art that I feel is the strongest is color.
Photo UnitThe technique I used for the first photo was silhouette and the technique I used for the second picture was double exposure. I selected the silhouette photo because of the way it glows around the figure, I chose the double exposure because you can tell what the two pictures were. I kinda enjoyed learning about photography.
PugameseFor my critter montage I mix a pug and a siamese cat. The tools that worked the best for me was the burn tool, clone tool, and the polygonal lasso tool. The elements and principals I feel are the strongest are space and proportion.
TessellationI think the strongest element and principle of art is is pattern and color. I think making a tessellation the traditional way would be easier because you wouldn't have to worry about copying and pasting so much for the pattern. I had fun making this and I found it sort of easy to make. The artist we learned about before making this was M.C. Escher.
Fontbot ProjectFor my fontbot project I used a san serif font called Gorilla Milkshake. I think the font I used matches my fontbot. Creating it in photo shop was kind of confusing at first but once I got used to it, it was pretty easy.
Square 1 Art Project
I kinda liked doing my square 1 art project. The hardest part was trying to get the moon how I wanted it but the easiest part was doing the stars. I did my project using positive and negative space or high contrast. I thought using a gradient for the moon was cool.
I like this picture because I like how its colorful and its a wolf. I like how the artist used different colors to add highlights to the wolves fur. It would probably take me a while to do something like this because of how the colors are blended and the detail that is in the picture.
